Cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant before serving. This bold Sonoma Cabernet opens with enticing notes of cassis, black cherry, and crushed blackberry, complemented by hints of fresh mint, dried violets, and bitter chocolate.
The first sip reveals soft tannins and a full body, showcasing ripe dark berry, burnt caramel, and baking spice flavors. The intense character of this wine makes it an excellent companion for hearty red meat dishes such as slow-cooked ribs, beef bourguignon, or a prime steak served with fries.
Nestled between the Mayacamas Mountains and Sonoma Mountain, B.R. Cohn winery has been crafting exceptional small-batch wines since 1984. Bruce Cohn acquired the property in 1974, seeking a family home away from the limelight. His passion for the vineyard blossomed under the mentorship of Charlie Wagner of Caymus. After successfully selling grapes to neighboring wineries, Cohn began bottling his own wines in 1984, earning numerous international wine awards and accolades along the way.
