Tequila Ocho Reposado showcases the artistry of tequila-making through its meticulous production process and unique flavor profile. Rested for eight weeks in seasoned ex-American whiskey barrels, this reposado allows the vibrant essence of agave to shine while adding layers of complexity.
Aroma and Flavor
On the nose, expect an inviting bouquet of rich fruits intertwined with hints of vanilla and butterscotch. The palate reveals a smooth texture, featuring sweet cooked agave complemented by warm spices like cinnamon and delicate vanilla, culminating in a long, creamy finish.
Production Method
Crafted with care, Tequila Ocho uses only three ingredients: agave, natural airborne yeast, and water. The process begins with the careful selection of overripe agaves from the Golden Triangle of Los Altos de Jalisco. These agaves are slow-cooked in brick ovens for 48 hours and allowed to cool for an additional 24 hours. After being roller-mill crushed, they undergo fermentation with natural airborne yeast and are double-pot distilled at low temperatures, first in stainless steel with copper components and then in full copper pots.
